SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for the strategy and leadership to ensure a continuous supply of assigned products provided at the lowest possible cost while adhering to the quality requirements of the applicable concept. This role will require the incumbent to draw heavily on creative talents, negotiating ability, mastery of informational systems, and multitasking skills to satisfy Foxtail Foods base business activity as well as support their program initiatives.

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Sourcing responsibility for over $20 million (varies by category) in goods and services.
Develop and document long term category/ product strategies to include pricing, diversity, and contingency plans.
Development and maintain positive, productive relations with all customer/ partner groups.
Monitor and manage system compliance for use of approved suppliers, items and contracted adherence.
Identify opportunities to simplify and/or improve the Supply Chain Management business process.
Create supply contingency plans.
Supplier Development - creation and management of a strategic supplier development plan. This will require the incumbent to establish a role as the liaison between supplier base and Foxtail Foods resulting in the:
Ø Forging of strategic alliances
Ø Identification and development of suppliers that consistently satisfy our high performance standards
Ø Identification and development of minority suppliers whose performance is comparable with our standards
Ø Creation of a technologically competent Agent that utilizes a creative talents to contribute to the overall success of the procurement effort
Ø Assurance that timely communications are executed throughout the supply chain
Ø Enhancement of synergistic activity with supply base
Supply Chain Administration - This accountability is focused against insuring that the Supply Chain is adequately positioned to execute the sourcing arrangements established by the head of Foxtail Foods, thereby ensuring product availability to Foxtail concepts. This requires the incumbent to:
Ø Ensure that all suppliers are adequately oriented to execute within our system
Ø Own the data integrity of all supplier/product information submitted to our systems
Ø Timely communicate any identified supply implications or product availability issues to the appropriate customer and/or members of the supply chain
Ø Resolve any chronic supply issues that may arise for the assigned area of responsibility
Ø Monitor production, inventory, shipments, and sales associated with all promotional activity
Serve as the “go to” person for all issues pertaining to Supply Chain Management assigned categories.
Manage food cost budget to meet Foxtail objectives.
Ensures quality control from manufacturers and distributors.
Works cross-functionally to achieve goals.
Surveys stakeholders for service levels and consistent satisfaction
Encourages great relationships by developing and implementing pricing strategies, which encourage long-term relationships with customers.
Ensures that products sourced meet or exceed industry safety standards.
EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED
4 year degree required; preferably with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge of current Supply Chain technology and future technology trends.
Exposure to franchised systems or, franchisee relationships and food and/or restaurant experience preferred.
