Position: Procurement Analyst

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Starting Compensation: $30/hr-$35/hr, DOE

Overview:

Avenica is currently evaluating talent for a Procurement Analyst in the insurance industry. Great opportunities for long-term growth! This person will support the procurement team with spend analytics and identification of cost savings and process improvement opportunities. Strong Microsoft Excel experience required. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop, track, and report procurement KPIs to measure the performance of the procurement organization and vendors
• Prepare and maintain vendor scorecards to ensure supplier performance meets organizational expectations and contractual obligations
• Collaborate with procurement team members and internal stakeholders to support the RFx process, vendor selection, and contract negotiations
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify industry trends and best practices to drive value and operational efficiencies
• Support procurement team members in managing vendor relationships to ensure value delivery
• Analyze and optimize the procurement process to drive cost savings and identify process improvement opportunities

Requirements:

• 2+ years of procurement or related program/vendor manager experience required 
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills— vLookup, pivot tables, macros
• Automation platform and Coupa (or other Procure to Pay) platform experience
• SharePoint deployment
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
