    Job Description

    The Renaissance Community Project Manager is responsible for organizing, updating, and communicating project activities with stakeholders in the district and community. The Coordinator supports the citizens of the surrounding area to understand and gain access to needed services related to the district project.  This role requires close work with the Project Manager assigned to the project to assure that common goals are established and being met, technology is being successfully implemented, and the community is involved as much as possible in a shared mission.  This is achieved through regular communication, collaboration, planning, scheduling, resourcing, and implementing multiple initiatives and efforts with guidance from the PM, district leadership, and the Sr Director of Project Management. The work of the Community PM will touch all efforts between school and community leadership and Renaissance. Examples of responsibilities include relationship-building support for customers using Renaissance software products and promotion activities to include community leadership.  The Community PM will also assist the team with additional project tasks and implementation services.

    In this role, you will:

    • Build, nurture and sustain district and community relationships

    • Document the community support portion of the project (including specifications, reviews, decisions, changes) and work with multiple stakeholders to make and meet milestones

    • Align work to the overall implementation goals and project plans while working with internal and external groups

    • Organize district and community efforts to support work within the schools to meet established goals

    • Communicate with all community stakeholders to keep them informed and moving in a unified direction

    • Assist and actively contribute in planning meetings and supporting activities

    • Monitor progress, and distribute regular updates about relevant project milestones to all stakeholders

    • Provide support as needed throughout the district and community in aligned events

    • Research and identify potential solutions to address challenges or barriers to success for assigned projects

    • Assemble resources (including assets and people) as needed on cross-functional teams and projects

    • Establish and follow strong procedures and processes for project development that affects multiple groups

    • Follow through in implementing plans and proactively suggest modifications as needed

    • Complete additional assigned tasks on a timely basis 

    • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple efforts within projects

    • Effective communication including verbal, written, and presentation skills

    • Technology literacy:  Using computers (either PC or MAC), mobile devices, Smartboards, projectors, standard Microsoft Production Suite Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, Outlook), internet and e-mail usage

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment

    • Well organized and structured to function well in a deadline driven environment with minimal guidance required

    • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable when faced with changing priorities

    • English language proficiency

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA required; Master’s degree in education preferred

    • 2+ years of experience in managing educational projects

    • Demonstrated ability to successfully roll-out projects and process changes

    • Successful experiences with large scale programs

    • Experience in organizing community events a plus

    • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple efforts within projects

    • Effective communication including verbal, written, and presentation skills

    • Technology literacy:  Using computers (either PC or MAC), mobile devices, Smartboards, projectors, standard Microsoft Production Suite Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, Outlook), internet and e-mail usage

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment

    • Well organized and structured to function well in a deadline driven environment with minimal guidance required

    • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable when faced with changing priorities

    • Bilingual preferred

     

    Bonus points for:

    • CAPM or PMP certification
