    The role…

    The Revenue Management Analyst works with the Revenue Managers (RM), Senior Revenue Managers (SRM) within Choice Revenue Management (ChoiceRM) to maximize total hotel room revenue by providing data analysis and technical knowledge of the market, the competition, distribution channels, and various systems. The Revenue Analyst must be strategic and decisive, combining knowledge in revenue management, ecommerce, sales, marketing and distribution to offer support to the ChoiceRM Team in making the optimal revenue decisions.

    What you will do…

    Reviews and analyzes revenue management trends for the ChoiceRM portfolio:

    • Evaluates hotel performance to verify strategic pricing and restriction decisions by market segment and channel were successful in achieving revenue goals.
    • Determines areas of opportunities for further revenue growth and market penetration.
    • Reviews and tracks the brand contribution for assigned hotels to ensure maximizing brand channels and minimizing potential missed revenue opportunities.
    • Reviews and analyzes the group trends, monitoring group blocks, wash factors and optimal group booking windows.

    Provide revenue management expertise for a portfolio of hotels

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for hotels in revenue management program. Provides consultative services and assistance to hotels and Area Directors as necessary to implement revenue management and distribution strategies.
    • Manage the guest room inventory through the systems end date for assigned hotels.
    • Manages rates and inventories in all distribution channels to ensure parity.
    • Create, recommend and evaluate strategic pricing decision by market segment and channel to maximize room revenues for assigned hotels.
    • Lead the Revenue Management Meeting with the hotel team to review performance, selling strategies and market trends for assigned hotels.
    • Completes the Revenue Management Recap to communicate to the hotel the performance results and strategies of assigned hotels.
    • Prepares and analyzes supporting documentation for revenue meeting for assigned hotels – Daily Report, Segmentation Report, Smart Rate reports, pricing positions, market shops, STR, Hotelligence 360, etc.
    • Act as a liaison to between the hotel team and the Choice brand as it pertains to Revenue Management. - Utilize and share in depth knowledge of brand systems such as Rate Center, Choice ADVANTAGE, SmartRates, Choice ROC with assigned hotel teams.
    • Ensure hotels are aware of new marketing and promotional opportunities as they are made available.

    Supports, and communicates with, the RM and SRM:

    • Prepares trend reports to be used when completing the 90-day room revenue strategies for assigned hotels.
    • Maintains short-term & long-term trends of the local market. Tracks, evaluates and communicates business and market trends for assigned hotels to the RM and or SRM.
    • Maintains demand generating calendars – holidays, special events, city wides, etc. for specific hotels.
    • Conduct audits as part of the onboarding process to ensure all rate plans are set up properly and the inventory controls are set as predetermined by RM/SRM.

    Skills you have…

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Degree in Economics, Finance or quantitative major preferred.
    • Strong understanding of CRO, GDS, PMS, SalesPro and Internet distribution systems preferred
    • Strong analytical skills required and ability to apply those skills to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls required
    • Effective communication skills, both verbally and written required
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities required
    • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals required
    • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment required
