Our marketing internship is designed to allow you to contribute to Opry Entertainments major interactive, promotional and advertising projects, including publicity, surveys and sponsor activities, across both our legacy brands and our new venues as we experience rapid growth. Responsibilities Some aspects youll be helping with include: Ticket Sales : Help drive ticket sales for the weekly Grand Ole Opry Show and daily Opry House Tours, and develop online interaction and brand familiarity. Website: Update website information, contribute to editorial content including blogs, and assist in maintaining show calendars. Social Media: Assist with social media, including live social media coverage of Opry shows and other special events, writing and editing daily social media content, creating social media recaps of promotions, and responding to messages on social channels. Promotions and Advertising: Develop and fulfill multi-media promotions and special events (i.e. meet and greets, radio visits, etc.), fulfill prizing for contest winners, advertising, assess advertising options, and measure return on advertising investment. Publicity : Develop and edit materials for media (i.e. press releases, press kits, etc.) Additional projects : Street team marketing for CMA Music Festival, preparation for Ole Red Nashville opening events, marketing research, sponsor activities, Opry artist debuts and momentous milestones, general team support, and other duties as assigned- no 2 days are completely alike here! Qualifications Education: Working toward bachelors degree in related field. Experience: To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled in a degree program in a related field during the internship period. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) Passion for hospitality, marketing or business, with an interest in sales Ability to work nights and weekends- we have Opry shows Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and have marketing needs at least once a week. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly motivated with strong initiative and good attitude- being able to think on your feet with a smile on your face is a must! Bonus points for: experience with Photoshop, a basic understanding of HTML, strong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a good knowledge of country music.
