    Location - Casino - Employment Status - Full-Time - Shift - Varies - Category - Slots - APPRENTICE SLOT TECHNICIAN - Casino - Job Description: - Summary: This is an entry level position within the Slot Technical Department. The Apprentice Slot Technician assists with the installation and maintenance of slot machines. Major Responsibilities/Activities: - Troubleshoot and repair slot machines and related equipment to the common component level (diverter solenoid driver, hopper drive relay, etc.). - Maintain proper documentation of department repair logs, shift logs, daily shift reports, lock and/or key logs. - Safely and effectively operate shop equipment including hand tools, soldering equipment and some electronic test equipment. - Maintain security of equipment, records, funds, locks and keys. - Consistently follow machine entry procedures and repair procedures in order to proactively identify or prevent future equipment problems. - Effectively interpret slot machine conditions by use of self-diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques. - Performs special projects and machine moves as assigned. - Responds to floor calls in an expeditious manner and spend enough time on the floor to be familiar with operational issues. - Understands the slot network system, performs repairs and corrects line failures. - Performs other duties as assigned. - Job Requirements: - Minimum Requirements: - Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members. - High School graduate or GED preferred. - Basic experience in the installation and repair of electronic systems and subsystems preferred. - Basic understanding of electronic theory preferred. - Previous experience with reading and interpreting schematics, electric circuitry and blueprints preferred. - Must be able to utilize hand tools, power machine equipment, testing and calibration instrumentation. - Must be able to multitask in a fast paced work environment. - Must be able to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with difficult situations. - Must posses excellent customer service skills. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
