Job Description We are excited to offer several 2019 summer internships to highly motivated students currently pursuing a degree in food science. This role will be located on the campus of our new Global Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina within our Innovation & Development group. The Sealed Air Internship program offers applied experience that has a true impact on the business. The program includes opportunity to present to senior leadership teams, participate in formal training, interact with members of other departments, and lead campus-wide community service events. Projects will be designed such that your involvement will have a direct business impact. Projects may include working with various protein sources packaged in the latest shrink packaging technologies with state of the art equipment used at many harvest or further processing facilities. You may be given the opportunity to conduct inhouse shelf life tests to resolve real customer issues, develop new packaging concepts with various meats, interact directly with various functional areas (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Quality, Supply Chain), and learn material extrusion technologies. As an intern, you will be exposed to a variety of areas including: - Meat Packaging Audits across the USA - Analytical & Microbiology techniques - Extrusion techniques for Shrink Packaging - Supply Chain Production Facilities - Project Management techniques Job Description Cont.
