    Job Description

    As a Security Officer , you help keep our corporate offices safe, secure, and welcoming. This role blends security responsibilities with hospitality focused service, ensuring our guests, team members, and property are protected while creating a friendly and supportive environment. You maintain a visible presence, manage access points, respond to police, fire, or medical situations, and complete safety inspections and incident reports. By working closely with public safety partners and security leadership, you help ensure everyone feels safe and cared for.     What You’ll Do as a Security Officer:

    • Provide the initial response to all incidents of a Police, Fire or Medical nature and act accordingly within the scope of duties as a Security Officer.
    • Maintain a uniformed security presence at specified company interests.
    • Manage entry and exit control points at designated properties.
    • Monitor a proprietary monitoring station or front desk (fire alarm panel) as required by law and monitor Security surveillance system.
    • Conduct safety inspections as directed by policy and established procedure.
    • Maintain individual Security activity records, checklists and logs.
    • Write detailed and accurate incident reports as required using computer skills and emails.
    • Respond to basic service requests and perform preventative maintenance on the electronic guest room security system and in-room electronic safes if applicable.
    • Perform lost and found inventory control tasks.
    • Perform traffic control and parking enforcement duties as required.
    • Respond to any security related complaints and take appropriate actions.
    • Assist public safety officers in the performance of their duties as requested and/or required.
    • Perform key control and accounting duties.
    • Perform any other task, requested by management, within the scope of corporate policy.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally, in person and over a two-way radio.
    • Must be assertive enough to maintain control of boarding procedures and incidents.
    • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to work on feet for an eight-hour shift.
    • Must be CPR, AED and First Aid State Certified within 90 days of employment.
    • Must have a good sense of reason and the ability to follow direction under stressful or emergency situations.
