    Job Description

    The Ski & Snowboard School (S3) Support Services Representative supports daily operations across indoor and outdoor S3 facilities to ensure a seamless guest and staff experience. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining teaching areas, assisting with student check-in and check-out, managing lunch service, and supporting rental operations. This position reports to the Support Services Supervisor.

    Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities

    Indoor Support Services:

    • Facilitate equipment rentals for children, including processing transactions, collecting payment, fitting and sizing equipment, and managing check-in and check-out procedures
    • Support communication between S3 personnel and parents to ensure accurate information and a positive guest experience
    • Set up and tear down indoor facilities daily, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for children and staff
    • Assist with registration tasks including placing children in classes, inputting and filing forms, and helping to locate children separated from their groups
    • Follow food safety procedures and assist with lunch ordering, preparation, serving, and clean-up
    • Engage with children indoors when they are unable to participate outside, offering games, crafts, and encouragement

    Outdoor Support Services:

    • Set up and tear down outdoor teaching areas to maintain a professional and consistent environment optimized for instruction
    • Maintain children’s teaching terrain, including shoveling snow, setting up signage, and installing or repairing fencing and on-mountain features
    • Assist with S3 guest check-in by greeting families, answering questions, and supporting class organization alongside Supervisors and Coordinators
    • Assist in organizing and operating ski school races, including racecourse set-up, timing logistics, and guest flow at start and finish areas
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    **Education & Experience Requirements **

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum of 6 months experience in a guest-facing, service-oriented role preferred
    • Prior experience working with children or in outdoor recreation environments preferred

    **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities **

    • Working knowledge of child supervision practices and guest service standards preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; general computer literacy required
    • Fluency in English required; Spanish or Portuguese helpful
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
    • Able to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Skilled at maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace
    • Capable of safely lifting and setting up equipment and teaching tools
    • Able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
    • Demonstrates sound judgment and remains calm under pressure
    • Dependable, punctual, and collaborative team member

    Additional Information

    Work environment and physical demands

    • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
    • Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
    • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
