We are looking for Swim Instructors to join our fantastic team! No experience is necessary. We will train you and give you the opportunity to teach your students the most important life skills, through swim lessons. We operate year-round and offer flexible schedules. This is the perfect opportunity for students, retirees, people looking for part-time work, or anyone who is looking to make a difference in a child's life! We are looking for seasonal swim instructors for our Belle Haven and Burgess pools!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to teach proper swimming techniques in a safe, positive and healthy manner to a various levels and age groups in accordance with the company's instructional guidelines
• Observes students during class to detect and correct mistakes
• Engage participants in a fun dynamic class
• Responsible for set-up and clean-up of lesson area
• Ability to keep accurate progress records of participants
• Present proper demonstrations and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates
• Excellent communication skills
• Attend staff and training meetings as required
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Passionate about working with kids
• Excited about improving the lives of those around them by teaching a lifelong skill
• Passionate about working in the community, and has an "always willing to help" attitude when working with customers
• Compassionate, enthusiastic, and enjoys working as part of a tight knit team
• Must be an effective communicator, with students and parents as appropriate
• Experience working with children and creating a positive environment for their development, is a plus.
• Must be punctual
