    Team Sheeper, Inc. is headquartered in Menlo Park, CA at Burgess. We have additional locations in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. We are community driven and we offer a variety of programs for both adults and children, including swim lessons, youth swim team, triathlete training, aqua fit programs, and summer and boot camps..

    SWIM COACH

    PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    • Authentic leadership for an adult community that fosters happiness, health and strength to Youth in the form of a swim team.
    • Menlo Mavericks is a summer Swim team, Age group swimming
    • The team will be operated by Menlo Swim and Sport
    • Swim Teams is open to all community members.
    • Burgess is a 11 lane 25 yard pool

    POSITION OVERVIEW

     The position requires that each coach coordinates a daily workouts, team travel to swim meets and open water events, along with other activities and club functions. The Coaches will drive club growth and strive to foster a team environment while working under the guidelines of the company mission statement and any other stated objectives.

    ROLES AND DUTIES

    ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

    • Coach Athletes to swim
    • Supervise Swimmers during meets
    • Attend scheduled meetings with aquatic facility staff
    • Make travel arrangements for the club
    • Co-host  sanctioned swim meet
    • Host swim clinics and other educational opportunities for club members
    • Identify, recruit, and develop club partnerships
    • Organize a support team consisting of club members

    COACHING DUTIES

    • Set goals for the club and align with company mission and core values
    • Adhere to a seasonal plan for the club
    • Help interested swimmers set individual goals
    • Deliver/coach dynamic workouts
    • Schedule assistant coaches
    • Offer stroke development clinics with video filming options
    • Travel to events
    • Attend continuing education offerings for swimming coaches

    TRAVEL AND WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS

    About 10-15% of the role will require traveling to local or regional swim meets, or open water events that are contested on weekends. A few of the regularly scheduled team workouts are in the evenings.

    SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

    • Safety training for coaches or lifeguard certification including CPR, first aid, and AED
    • Ability to motivate adult athletes in a positive manner
    • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching stroke development, stroke correction, and proper technique
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, and willingness to adopt and implement structure and team template from parent company
    • Excellent listening, and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to make clear recommendations and decisions and to demonstrate a personal joy of the role and position.

    COMPENSATION

    Compensation is commensurate with applicant's job qualifications.

    BENEFITS INCLUDE:

    • Paid time off for employees regularly working a minimum of 28 hours per week
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for employees regularly working a minimum of 28 hours per week.
    • If over 28 hours are worked, there will be financial support of professional coaching and continuing education.
    • There are other opportunities within the organization to supplement coaching hours to make it a full-time position.
    • Part-time opportunities are also available.
