    Job Description

    Summary

    The Terrain Park Pipe Cutter is responsible for the precision grooming and maintenance of all terrain park features, with a primary focus on the super pipe. This role plays a key part in shaping and maintaining high-quality pipe conditions, while also supporting the development of the grooming team by training both entry-level and advanced park groomers in pipe-cutting techniques. In addition to constructing the super pipe and mini pipe, the Pipe Cutter collaborates on the build-out of additional park features, ensuring a safe, creative, and world-class riding experience. This position reports to the Terrain Park Director.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Perform all pre-operational checks on snow cat and operates snow cat in a safe manner, leaving clean passes and cleaning turn marks in all snow conditions
    • Is familiar with all patterns used in all parks and completes assigned grooming tasks efficiently and safely to predetermined standards
    • Operates Zaugg pipe cutter as well as blade, tiller, winch and forks
    • Assists with park builds, rail and feature set ups, cuts pipe to competition standards daily
    • Works with event team and contractors for high-profile venue builds
    • Assists snowmakers with moving snow guns
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school degree or equivalent preferred
    • 18 years of age or older
    • Minimum of 3 seasons of advanced terrain park grooming and/or winch cat experience preferred
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Successful completion of ASC snowmobile licensing training preferred
    • Successful completion of ASC chainsaw certification required
    • First Aid certification required

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Knowledge of park design/lay out and event experience preferred

    • Knowledge of safely handling and operating heavy and dangerous machinery

    • Basic understanding and use of Google Sketch Up

    • Comfortable working on mountain terrain including steep grades

    • Knowledge of company policies and procedures

    • Fluent in English

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

    • Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals

    • Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    • Ability to be a team player, working collaboratively with others

    • Basic industry terminology

    • Demonstrates expertise in the technical aspect of the job

    Additional Information

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
    • Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
    • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
