Overview Responsible for all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns. The Payroll Tax Specialist reviews calculation and reporting of tax liabilities, responds to questions and special requests from employees and regulatory agencies, researches laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures, assists in preparing budgets, projections, and special reports for senior management. This role reports directly to the Payroll Manager. Specific Responsibilities Include * Perform weekly and quarterly data extraction necessary for transmitting timely tax files to external tax vendor and initiate wire requests for Treasury * Assist Payroll Accountant/Analyst in preparing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations * Conduct research, analysis and resolution to payroll related tax notices and inquiries * Ensure accurate processing of tax filings both in-house and with external tax vendor on a quarterly and yearly basis * Oversight of all year-end related activities including W-2/W-3 and W-2c/W-3c processing * Review and approve new tax rate changes and tax interfaces for Oracle patch testing This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH. Experience with Microsoft Office and Oracle payroll * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Great attention to detail and time management.
