Job Description

The Photographer is responsible for capturing and acquiring Resort Real Estate, Lifestyle, Hospitality, Corporate, Training, Food & Beverage, and Special Event images. The Photographer’s images provide essential support for Westgate Resorts Sales & Marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate is passionate about Photography and possesses the technical skills to manipulate camera and lighting settings to achieve professional photography results. The Photographer works alongside the media team and can effectively execute a photoshoot with minimal supervision and have the photo technical skills to problem solve photography challenges while on location.

Must have at least 2 years or relevant experience photographing in some, most or all the following categories: Real Estate, People, Lifestyle, Food, Beverage, and Event Photography.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Photography planning and scheduling.
• Capturing professional quality images of Westgate Resorts and its brands.
• Work alongside the Media Production team and Media Production Manager to coordinate and schedule photoshoots.
• Able to work well within a team and working well under pressure with a flexible attitude.
• Produce high quality, correctly exposed and color consistent photography.
• Effectively communicate with photoshoot location support staff and models to plan and direct on-location photoshoots.
• Prepare, transport, and operate photography equipment.
• Cropping, resize and image processing of all photos to correctly achieve professional looking images that are color balanced and consistent.
• Catalog, growing and maintaining the media library with proper formatting and file labeling in accordance with department protocols.
• Ability to manage and follow a photoshoot schedule, complete projects, and meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
• Working with our Graphic Design and Marketing Teams to create relevant photographic assets.
• Identifying and maintaining a photo shot list of photo assets needing updates
• Responsible for care and upkeep of all photo equipment, props, and supplies.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Professional photo editing skills to achieve image manipulation that look realistic.
• Ability to conceptualize and visualize creative photography.
• Produce professional quality photography for branding and business purposes.
• Experience editing images using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, or equivalent professional photo processing software.
• Understanding of photo file formats, including RAW and Compressed Formats
• Self-learner and motivation to advance photography skills.
• Technical knowledge of camera settings including knowing how to White Balance, understanding Aperture and Depth of Field in photography to achieve proper exposures.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience and comfortable using Canon Professional photo and video cameras and lenses.
• Apple/MAC computer systems.
• Adobe Creative Cloud Software Applications – Photoshop, Lightroom.
• Ability to air travel to multiple to locations in the continental United States
• Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in relevant field.
• Technical Certificate, B.S. Degree, Media Production or on the job experience in a related field.
• Demonstrable a strong photography portfolio.
• Videography using DSLR or Cinema Video Camera.
• Video editing using Adobe Premiere or Video Editing Software equivalent.
