  • Responsibilities

    The In-Room Dining Server is responsible for providing consistent excellent service to guests/clients of the facilities and efficient delivery of food and beverages to guests in a professional, hospitable manner to enhance the guest experience. This employee will be required to set up and breakdown respective dining space. The In-Room Dining Server is required to adhere to the mission and values of Widewaters Hotels, LLC.

    What you will be doing

    Maintain a complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and answer questions on menu/alcoholic selections to guests.

    Ensure presentation of food and beverage is presented to guest per Hotel standard.

    Delivers and serves food and beverages to hotel guest’s room and set up and serves the order inthe guest’s room.

    Completes customer payment transaction as outlined in cash and charge procedures.

    Maintains tray tracking system and ensure trays are removed from the guest corridors regularly.

    Performs set-up and closing side work; stock service station, makes coffee, etc. Presets trays as necessary, prepares flatware

    Answer room service phones and record orders, utilize suggestive selling techniques to increase sales.

    Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

    Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress

    Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to kitchen Staff.

    Communicates with kitchen regarding menu questions, length of wait, re-cooking orders, and product availability.

    Be aware of daily specials, soups and drink items.

    Be able to operate the electronic cash register (where applicable). No voids or deletes withoutmanagement's written approval.

    Record transactions in POS at time of order.

    Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc. throughout the day

    Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach goals.

    Thank guests with genuine appreciation.

    Ensure timely removal of dirty dishes and glassware by conducting floor sweeps.

    Requirements

    High School Degree or Equivalent.

    Minimum of 1 year experience in a food and beverage role.

    Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment in the Restaurant.

    Ability to work on POS equipment.

    Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Must possess basic computational ability.

    Must possess basic computer skills

    Ability to supervise situations and accomplish goals on a timely basis.
