  • Responsibilities

    The Health Club Attendant will be responsible for courteously and effectively greeting and registering club members and guests. They will assist in maintaining a clean, attractive and safe environment and ensure the smooth operation of the health Club. The Health Club Attendant is required to adhere to the mission and values of Widewaters Hotels, LLC.

    What you will be doing

    Responsible for providing professional service, ensuring procedures are followed and guest needs are properly attended to.

    Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.

    Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

    Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.

    Understands the point -of -sale system and cash handling procedures.

    Comply at all times with Hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

    Answers and effectively responds to incoming telephone calls.

    Promptly, courteously and effectively responds to all guest inquiries and requests.

    Monitors club access and ensures all guests are properly recorded.

    Cleans tables, chairs and squeegee puddles in pool area .

    Maintains awareness of pool activity and enforces pool rules.

    Performs equipment maintenance and facility cleaning duties.

    Assists with department inventory procedures.

    Refill supplies to ensure amenities are available for guests convenience.

    Assists with folding newly laundered towels.

    Sweep the floor if needed when Public Area Attendant are unavailable to do so.

    Mop the floor in the pool area and locker rooms, which requires lifting rubber floor mats) when Public Area Attendants are unavailable to do so.

    Collects used towels and delivers to hotel laundry.

    Take bags with dirty towels from the pool area to laundry and pick -up bags of clean towels to take to the pool area and locker rooms.

    Clean/wipe down gym equipment.

    Promptly communicate problems or concerns to department supervisors.

    Collect, deposit and account for all charges of members/guests throughout shift.

    Maintain cleanliness of Health Club facility.

    Requirements

    High School Degree or Equivalent.

    Minimum of 1-2 years of guest services experience

    Must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and have sound administrative skills.

    Fitness knowledge helpful.

    Must have a positive attitude at all times.

    Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

    Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

    Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
