Responsibilities: This might be the perfect role for you as a Server. your responsibilities will include: • Greeting guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring the restaurant/lounge/cafe is prepared and welcoming for opening, maintaining cleanliness and attractiveness throughout service, and completing closing duties such as cleaning floors, tables, buffet area, and other tasks. • Acting as both a host and a server, by serving water, suggesting food and beverage items, making recommendations, answering queries, remembering guest preferences, and providing a friendly, personalized service that may even include sharing local tips or weather updates. • Demonstrating a strong knowledge of the menu items and beverages to offer informed recommendations, delivering prompt and exceptional service to enhance the dining experience, and handling payments accurately and efficiently. • Prioritizing safety and security by adhering to the hotel's safety protocols, being vigilant for potential issues, and promptly escalating any concerns to management. Qualifications: • Must be available to work weekends, and holidays with a flexible schedule. • Proficiency in understanding the steps of service is required. • Attention to detail is essential to ensure guests feel welcomed and valued. • Ability to cater to guests' needs attentively. • Willingness to support fellow associates when required. • Previous experience in handling cash transactions is preferred. • A high school education or equivalent is preferred and at least one year of progressive experience in food & beverage is required as is a ServSafe or Tips certification. • Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, as needed.
