  • Responsibilities

    As a Pro Shop Attendant you will be responsible for courteously and effectively greeting and registering golf course guests. ensuring the smooth operation of the health Club. The Pro Shop Attendant is required to adhere to the mission and values of Widewaters’ Hotels, LLC.

    What you will be doing

    Responsible for the operation of the gazebo if applicable, ensuring professional service to guests playing golf or making sundry purchases.

    Responsible for any bank issued.

    Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.

    Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

    Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.

    Comply at all times with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

    Answers and effectively responds to incoming telephone calls.

    Promptly, courteously and effectively responds to all guest inquiries and requests.

    Monitors golf course access and ensures all players are properly recorded.

    Collects and records fees for merchandise sales and cart and club rentals.

    Understands the point-of-sale system and cash handling procedures.

    Performs equipment maintenance and facility cleaning duties.

    Assists with department inventory procedures.

    Promptly communicate problems or concerns to department supervisors.

    Fill golf course water coolers, empty all trash containers and clean the portable restroom on the course.

    Act as ranger to monitor speed of play and ensure on-course etiquette.

    Collect, deposit and account for all charges of members/guests throughout shift.

    Maintain cleanliness of Health Club facility.

    Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

    Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

    Requirements

    High School diploma preferred.

    Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

    Golf knowledge helpful.

    Must have a positive attitude at all times.

    Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

    Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.

    Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

    Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

    Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

    Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

    First Aid and CPR certified preferred.
