Part Time Cook - Patricia Grand Resort by Wyndham Vacation Rentals 28 Dec 2018 Patricia Grand Resort is seeking a part time year round Cook. Summary The Cook will prepare and cook quality food in an efficient and professional manner ensuring a timely delivery to achieve customer satisfaction. Ensure adherence and compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state and local regulations. Provide any necessary assistance to visitors or guests. Assist in the training of new personnel and ensure that new employees are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies. Essential Job Functions # Responsibility 1 Prepare all food and set the assigned area for on-time opening, ensuring assigned area is fully equipped with product, equipment, tools, etc. necessary to properly execute incoming orders. 2 Perform all cooking tasks in compliance with company standards and approved recipes to achieve excellent guest service and satisfaction. 3 Properly fill orders placed by the front of the house Associates, doing so in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner. Keep front of the house Associates informed of items running out in a timely manner to protect the guest experience. 4 Ensure that the kitchen area and all its equipment are clean and in proper working condition. Maintain cleanliness and order in all coolers as well as freezers and ensure proper rotation of perishable products. 5 Properly follow all health department requirements and make sure all products are stored and kept in a safe and sanitary fashion. Do not use product if you doubt its freshness. 6 Address service staff concerns promptly and appropriately to ensure guests leave the restaurant satisfied. 7 Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists. Perform all necessary cleaning assignments. Qualifications Minimum Requirements and Qualifications a) Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred b) Training requirements Serve Safe Certification a plus c) Knowledge and skills Organizational Skills.. Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to give high priority to customer service. Ability to solve problems with a minimum of supervision. Ability to read, write and understand English. Must maintain a professional appearance and a Can-Do, positive attitude towards all guests and staff. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed. Must be detail oriented. d) Technical Skills Basics to complex kitchen equipment Small appliances and kitchen tools knowledge Basic knowledge of inventory and rotation of food e) Job experience 6 months to 1 year of food service experience preferred, preferably in a high volume operation Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
