    Job Description

    Acara Solutions has an exciting direct placement opportunity for an Account Manager with our client. This is a remote opportunity with 50% travel required.

    SUMMARY OF POSITION

     

    This position will be responsible for development of sales including leads and opportunities for welding and machining work product in the United States and Mexico. As a welding and machining expert, this individual will work directly with manufacturers and OEM"s in servicing their welding & machining needs. 

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Generate new business through understanding and promoting company welding fabrication and machining competencies.
    • Generate new leads and orders with all industrial -related OEMs who need welding fabrication and machining services with a focus on steel and aluminum applications, but also can include invar & stainless steel.  
    • Meet or exceed order goals 
    • Coordinate sales efforts with key account managers, estimators and manufacturing leads within company objectives and strategic goals.
    • Preparing, reviewing and submitting sales contracts and quotes
    • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services.
    • Answer client questions about credit terms, products, services, prices and availability. 
    • Maintains, updates and builds client records. 
    • Meet regularly with sales leadership and manufacturing specialist as appropriate to review sales activities and prospective projects.
    • Attend industry specific trade shows that drive brand awareness and further expand lead potential (i.e. Fabtech, etc)
    • Any additional duties assigned by management

    Required Skills / Qualifications:

    • Minimum High School Diploma/GED required
    • 3+ years of experience in selling welding fabrication and machining applications 
    • Experience and ability to understand welding fabrication and machining applications as well as major equipment solution applications

    Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

    • Associate or Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Management preferred 
    • Prospecting skills and knowledge of market opportunities and competition
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast -paced environment and organizational skills
    • Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities
    • Ability to work with management team to help drive performance and diversity in portfolio

    • While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles.
    • The employee may be exposed to vibration.
    • The employee is occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands.
    • Work with safe manufacturing processes and understanding that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
    • Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area.
