    Job Description

    Acara Solutions is hiring a Payroll & HRIS Specialist in Jamison, PA

     

    WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

    • Process bi-weekly payroll for assigned sites
    • Audits quarterly and annual tax data.
    • Ensure accurate information is keyed and maintained in the payroll system.
    • Approve ADP Self-Service workflows (payroll changes, life event, address etc.)
    • Reviews and audits payroll reports (pay-by-pay, 401k etc.)
    • Educate and train center leadership on use of ADP Timekeeping system and other new system enhancements.
    • Act as consultant for our Center leadership with payroll and tax related questions.
    • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to maintain the HRIS system, participate in and execute payroll projects, system setup tasks and troubleshooting payroll related issues
    • Enter and maintain garnishment/wage orders.
    • Assist Benefits Coordinator with auditing payroll related data for ACA reporting
    • Responds to DOL and BLS reporting requests
    • Responds to unemployment questionnaires and employment verification requests in a timely manner for assigned centers.
    • Follows policies and rules regarding pay and benefits to ensure compliance and consistency in leave situations.
    • Ensures assigned centers are complaint with local, state and federal employment laws in relation to areas of payroll, compensation, leave/FMLA and benefit plans.
    • Enter Third Party Sick pay and ensure accuracy.
    • Assist in Implementing new centers/practices
    • Performs payroll and benefit related tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner and as listed on the Payroll Annual Checklist.
    • Follows internal established processes and procedures and suggests improvements to payroll processes when needed.
    • Supports centers with general questions related to payroll and benefits including workers compensation audits.
    • Provides backup support to other Payroll team members.
    • Maintains payroll system records and compiles reports utilizing HRIS.
    • Maintains employee personnel and payroll files .
    • Proactively plans and makes suggestions on departmental efficiencies.
    • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience
    • Expert user level of ADP payroll systems (Workforce Now)
    • Must have processed multi-site, multi-state, multi-entity payrolls

    THIS POSITION WOULD ALLOW FOR EMPLOYEE TO WORK FROM HOME FOR THE NEXT 2-4 MONTHS, THEN EVENTUALLY BE IN AN OFFICE 2-3 DAYS A WEEK, BUT STILL HAVE SOME WORK FROM HOME FLEXIBILITY !!
