As an Accounting Intern, you’ll work closely with the Finance team to assist in the monthly Financial Close Process. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of a fast-growing start-up. You will also be able to hone and apply your accounting knowledge while gaining valuable experience working alongside the Director of Finance and Finance Analyst. This job requires a person with great attention to detail, diligence, patience, excellent people skills as well as grit.

What you'll do:

• Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures

• Reconcile bank statements

• Responsible for the timely recording and payment of Accounts Payable

• Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited local University, with a major in Accounting, Junior or Senior level, with a current GPA of 3.0 or above

• Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Previous experience with accounting software is a plus.
