POSITION SUMMARY:
The Strategy& Transformation intern will work with the Strategy team to assist business unit leaders in solving complex problems and driving important strategic initiatives. Gather, research and analyze internal and external data to develop fact-based and actionable recommendations and solutions. Conduct qualitative (e.g., customer interviews) and quantitative (e.g., financial modeling) analysis. Create frameworks and approaches to solve complex problems s to perform data analysis studies of manufacturing operations and provide advice and counsel on manufacturing issues. The Industrial Engineering Intern provides support to Industrial Engineers and factory supervision to improve operational efficiency, work flow and processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- DATA ANALYTICS: 40%
- Optimize the consistent and reliable delivery of data reporting to internal business partners
- Develop and apply algorithms or models to key business metrics with the goal of improving operations and/or answering business problems
- Partner with and provide recommendations to business leadership on the appropriate application of analytics to business strategies and effectively communicate analysis and implications to senior leadership
- ANALYSIS & STRATEGIC AXIS: 30%
- Analyse multiple research sources to estimate the current and future size of Airbus Helicopters' addressable market
- Conduct analysis of complex information to assist in the identification of the company strengths, weaknesses and business opportunities
- Prioritizing initiatives and specific process improvements by leveraging the latest techniques in data analytics to provide strategic insight
- PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: 30%
- Analyse processes & data in order to identify improvements opportunities on productivity, costs reduction & customer experience.
- Define alternatives on how to implement improvements through process changes.
- Interact with key stakeholders to acquire buy-in on proposed changes.

QUALIFIED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / TRAINING:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a University or College in strategy or data science, statistics or similar quantitative field
Or
- Working toward MBA with concentration in strategy or data science, statistics or similar quantitative field

EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Practical experience building financial, statistical, and other analytical models to evaluate complex data
- Some SQL experience or experience with a BI report and data visualization tool;
- Project management: demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines

- Previous industry-related internship(s) preferred
- Market analysis is a plus
- Tableau is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Onsite: 70% remote, 30% onsite at the company's location
- Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
- Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts
- Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
- Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor
- Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
