The NAVSEA Senior Level Logistician will directly manage and oversee DOD Acquisition efforts for the DOD/Navy Acquisition program covering Integrated Logistics in Washington, DC, or a fleet concentration area. The Logistician will assist in the planning, execution, integration, and oversight of all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities and projects and shall provide ILS expertise to assist in developing innovative process improvements and solutions. He/She will also provide expertise in commercial ship, US Navy ship, and FMS requirements pertaining to ship supportability issues including life cycle support as they relate to DoD acquisition policies and procedures and other applicable statutory or regulatory requirements. Lastly, the Senior Logistician will provide logistics, technical, and in-depth operational knowledge in MSC policies and procedures as well as FMS policies and procedures. The Contractor shall also provide in-depth knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules, Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) issues or other regulatory body requirements as needed.
Required Skills
Required Experience
Supervisory experience; experience communicating Logistics concepts to SES/Flag level personnel. Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering, or business management disciplines. Project Management Professional (PMP) for 5+ years. 15+ years Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management.
Must hold an Active SECRET security clearance
