    The Social Media Editor is, at heart, a digital storyteller.  Their designs illicit engagement and excitement for our company’s social media strategy.  This artist creates visual content for our international brand through collaboration as part of the social media department as approved by the Social Media Manager.  In this role, the Social Media Editor will be a visual voice of our brand across all social media channels.  Devising, coordinating, and executing multi-platform content for internal and external campaigns through graphic and video design.  This content creator will attend company events, capture content, and create an urgent need for anyone not attending to do whatever it takes to earn a spot at the next event.  This person will help us make tomorrow better for our customers, brand, and the communities we serve.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

    • Strategize and develop effective social campaigns for internal and third-party initiatives, including sponsored posts.
    • Be a visual culture ambassador to foster engagement.
    • Work closely with the content and social media teams to create engaging social media content.
    • Design graphics and video based on brand, copy, purpose, and other needs.
    • Execute brand standards for multiple brands.
    • Execute copy, layout, and design changes.
    • Manage deliverables within asset management resources to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Attend company events and provide social media support as needed. Some travel may be required.
    • Proactively stay on top of the latest content requirements and trends in social media.

    Required Skills

    • Must possess a passion for social media and digital marketing industry.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
    • Shows enthusiasm and initiative taking on new projects
    • Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint; experience with Excel a plus
    • Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere
    • Strong proofreading and writing skills are required with attention to detail.
    • Thrive working under pressure
    • Effective communicator with management and team

     

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social media, graphic design, or digital marketing from four-year college or university.
    • Must have 1-2 years of professional experience in social media design.
    • Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
    • Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; Premiere and/or video editing experience a plus.
