CALIBRE, an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company is looking for a Systems Engineer to perform system engineering tasks related to the administration of servers and technical architecture. The Systems Engineer job responsibilities will include:
- Provide installation support for server and storage equipment.
- Maintain storage data security, review data permission and perform storage data backups.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Manage anti-virus and malware detection, analysis and remediation.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
- Production support for servers including failover, backup recovery.
- Design, install and maintain multi-tiered server infrastructure web and database to host several environments.
- Provide support for software development and configuration management.
- Work with end users, developers, system administrators and network administrators to implement security practices, security-related system configurations, and security-related SOPs.

Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in software engineering/computer science or 6+ years of total IT experience.
3+ year’s system engineering/system administration experience in Red Hat Linux/Oracle Linux
RedHat Linux/Oracle Linux
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), required
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), preferred
Active Directory
VMWare Certified Professional, or equivalent (desired)
