Share With: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ Email Job Snapshot Employee Type: Full-Time Location: Cypress, CA Job Type: Administrative / Clerical Support Job ID: 54179 Job Description About the Position The Strategic Initiatives Specialist is responsible for ensuring maximum effectiveness and efficiency of the region by executing the functions of: executive support, project management, communications, and strategic analysis. This person is tasked with managing/facilitating communications and workload amongst multiple departments to support regional and overall business objectives. The Strategic Initiatives Specialist will act as a strategist, consultant and liaison to ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the Market President. In addition, the Strategic Initiatives Specialist will handle day-to-day management of administrative tasks to allow the Market President and the Regional Leadership Team to focus on growing our business. Responsibilities Provide project management oversight for cross-functional/multi-disciplinary projects that are identified as high-priority by the Market President. Monitor project progress with diligent follow up and provide regular updates to the Market President and regional leadership team. Serve as the point person for internal/external customers. Research, prioritize, and follow-up on incoming issues addressed to the Market President, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determine appropriate course of action, referral, and/or response. Prepare updates and organize information for reports, correspondence, presentations, budgets, etc. Proofread documents for accuracy, format and arrangement of material. Define cadence, agenda and follow-up mechanisms for various meetings. Prepare for various meetings, including staff meetings, town halls, cross-functional meetings. Build presentations, reports, spreadsheets, data analytics, conduct research etc. Completes a broad range of administrative tasks for the Market President and the regional leadership team including: managing an extremely active meeting calendar; composing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; completing expense reports. Adheres to all Beacon policies and procedures and standards of operations. Completes all required and assigned trainings. Travel to all company sponsored events, trainings, and locations based on business needs. Performs other duties as assigned and required. General Competencies Analysis and problem solving Interpersonal communication Verbal and written communication Group presentation and public speaking Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy Position Requirements Education: Bachelors degree required. MBA or related field preferred. Licensure: Project Management Professional Certification preferred but not required. Relevant Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience supporting leaders in a fast paced environment.
