JCCC is searching to fill our open Adjunct Assistant Professor, Practical Nursing position. The person in this position will teach a maximum of 200 contact hours per semester of lab, clinical and/or simulation instruction for practical nursing students. Areas may include medical/surgical nursing, maternal-child nursing, and/or long-term care nursing. Classes may be during the day or evening to meet program needs. 

We are looking for someone who:

• has demonstrated strong nursing clinical and assessment skills
• is comfortable with technology
• works well in collaboration with others
• is committed to the mission of a community college
• is familiar with the scope of practice of an LPN

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Nursing
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or have the qualifications to obtain licensure in Kansas as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated teaching skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

Master's degree in Nursing

Required Experience

• Strong background in medical/surgical, maternal-child or psychiatric nursing 
• 1-2 years medical/surgical or long-term care nursing required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

2+ years in medical/surgical or long-term care
