Elm-Eugene St Greensboro, NC Job Type Active Full-Time Department Water Resources Job Number 01287 Closing 12/20/2018 11:59 PM Eastern Description The Crew Member (Vactor Helper) position will assist on a sewer cleaning truck that performs preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance on the city's sanitary sewer system. The person in this position will assume the role of the operator in his or her absence. This position requires heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending and stooping. The successful applicant will be required to help the operator complete daily work logs, sanitary sewer overflow reports and all other necessary paperwork associated with this position. The person selected for this position will be required to serve on an on-call rotation and work in inclement weather conditions. Must obtain a NC Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire date in order to remain in position. The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or an equivalency of 3 years of "related" work experience.
