THE SUCCESSFUL ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR . . .

• Sort and distribute incoming mail via US Postal Service and the inter-office mail.
• Credit Back CC – Reverse payment back onto the customer’s credit card. 
• Print all reports pertaining to cash receipts. Balance reports.
• Research accounts, records and payments when necessary.
• Process statements and invoices.
• Process Metavante payments daily.
• Make up miscellaneous deposit.
• Input check payments, cash receipts and credit card information.
• Process credit cards, web payments, and recurring web payments.
• Prepare cash and check deposits.  Process payments in RPS machine.  Balance RPS deposit.
• Take phone calls and answer questions for customers or employees at the branch level.
• Assist Accounts Payable department when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND SPECIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•  You must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  The ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization is also an expectation.
•  You must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

REQUIREMENTS:

We require a good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen.  Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the following job duties with or without accommodations:

• You must speak clearly and effectively in English and dress in a manner suited to a professional office. A pleasant personality, good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal positively with fellow employees, occasionally under stressful conditions, is a prime requisite.
• Each employee must obey safety instructions, rules, policy and procedures and use provided and installed safety devices and safety equipment. An employee is responsible for notifying his/her immediate supervisor of a violation or deficiency in safe and healthful working conditions.
• You may be asked to operate a company vehicle. A copy of a valid California driver's license and a DMV printout must be on file at the branch before operating a company vehicle.
