    THE SUCCESSFUL NETWORK ENGINEER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR . . .

    • Setup, monitoring, maintenance, patching, decommissioning, troubleshooting, documentation of network equipment and services.
    • Responsible for operation and maintenance of WAN, LAN, wireless, firewall, load balancer and other network related equipment and services.
    • Provide hardware and software support to IT personnel, customers, and offices.
    • Troubleshoot complex network and server issues.
    • Communicate with internal customers, vendors, and IT personnel to complete projects.
    • Maintain, support, and administer servers, local/wide area network (LAN/WAN), Wireless and VPN technologies.
    • Identify and resolve connectivity problems between systems and works with vendors in troubleshooting and supporting systems and services.
    • Perform the installation, configuration, management, upgrade and modification of network switches, routers, firewalls,
    • Network Load Balancers, Wireless, VPN and other related infrastructure technologies.
    • Support the installation, configuration, management, upgrade and modification of servers including Hypervisor Hosts, Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Create and maintains documentation to record network and hardware topologies.
    • Configure and maintain systems, install, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software.
    • Works with Vendors to implement remote B2B tunnels and facilitate access to necessary vendor based applications and services.
    • Travel to branch sites as needed to complete projects.
    • Develop and maintain documentation.
    • Work with vendors to obtain quotes and purchase hardware, software, support and other IT related equipment and services within allotted budget.
    • Understand and agree to role-specific information security access and responsibilities.
    • Ensure safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies.
    • Read, understand, and acknowledge security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training.
    • Create and maintain good technical documentation.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    EDUCATION AND SPECIFICATIONS   

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

     

     

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • 3+ years of Infrastructure experience.
    • 3+ years of experience with Server based Operating Systems, including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (CentOS).
    • Computer Hardware experience – Desktops and Laptops.
    • Server Hardware experience – Dell, HP and Purpose Built.
    • Experience with DNS, DHCP and IP addressing management and subnetting.
    • Working knowledge of Virtual LANs and trunking protocol, ACLs, IPSec tunnels and their implementation.
    • Experience configure and troubleshoot routing/switching technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP and VSS in an enterprise class environment.
    • Operational experience with configuring/troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs – Both Remote Access and Business to Business.
    • Experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls and Wireless technologies required.
    • Experience with other networking vendors such as F5 Networks, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, pfSense, Dell, Aruba, and Juniper is preferred.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations
    • Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
    • Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work within critical deadlines.
    • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules.
    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
    • Strong documentation skills.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    We require a good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen.  Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the following job duties with or without accommodations:

    • You must pass a pre-employment drug test, and background check before beginning work.
    • You must speak clearly and effectively in English and dress in a manner suited to a professional office. A pleasant personality, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal positively with fellow employees, occasionally under stressful conditions, is a prime requisite.
    • You may be asked to operate a company vehicle. A copy of a valid California driver's license and a DMV printout must be on file at the branch before operating a company vehicle.
