Position Summary: 2nd Shift Painter

• Preps, sandblasts, formulates, tests, mixes, and applies protective and/or decorative paint finishes to prepared surfaces on a variety of products to meet specifications

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
• Preps, sandblasts, and applies protective and/or decorative paint finishes to prepared surfaces on a variety of products to meet specifications
• Mixes and prepares paint using proper techniques for maximum coverage and minimum waste, troubleshoots and diagnoses paint problems as necessary
• Maintains equipment and area in a clean and safe condition
• Completes and submits shop work orders, rework, and miscellaneous sheets to update individual utilization reports
• Assists in loading and unloading of paint booth
• Must possess a strong sense of urgency along with perfectionist eye for a quality finish

Position Requirements

• Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge & Experience: Familiarity with conventional and HVLP painting techniques, dependability, ability to work effectively under pressure often independently, must pass a yearly pulmonary function test
• Required 5 years of experience in a manufacturing “job shop” environment
