    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at our facility located in Holland, MI. This role would also require 50-70% travel. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our Equipment. Equipment specific training will be provided, but previous technical experience within the water/wastewater industry is required. The Field Service Technicians will work in industrial or municipal, water and wastewater facilities that may be under construction or already existing. Providing technical assistance and support to company engineers and customers of newly installed equipment, training of site personnel in the operation and maintenance and repair of the equipment. A Field Service Technician will develop a positive and professional working relationship with specialty and union site craft, learn and follow site rules and safety regulations, and use good judgment on behalf of Evoqua.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform PLC troubleshooting and programming to diagnose and resolve issues with equipment.
    • Utilize hydraulics experience to repair and maintain hydraulic systems.
    • Apply mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify and fix mechanical problems.
    • Conduct PLC wiring to ensure proper connections and functionality.
    • Collaborate with team members and customers to provide excellent service and support.
    • Document all service and repair activities accurately and timely.
    • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance technical knowledge.

    Qualifications

    • HS diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred

    • 5-7 years technical experience in the industrial or commercial process water field

    • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulics & pneumatic systems required

    • The ability to troubleshoot instrumentation & use PLC programs and ladder logic is required (Allen Bradley and Siemens)

    • Must have the ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, installation and/or civil drawings, and the ability to discuss specifics, notes and changes with varied disciplines.

    • Must be able to travel extensively in US and Canada (can be anywhere from 2-5 days per week Monday through Friday and usually home on weekends)

    • Organizational skills with good writing skills, able to craft documentation and perform presentations to suit the audience required

    • Ability to work in elevations of around 15 thousand feet

    • Ability to obtain an Evoqua company credit card required

    • Experience with Microsoft office, including the ability to utilize smart devices

    • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and clean driving record and a valid passport
