Qualifications
WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND LOOKS LIKE
- 10+ years of software development experience building and testing applications following secure coding practices
- 2 years of experience leading development teams
- Currently collaborating as a hands-on team member developing and supporting a significant commercial software project in either Node.js or Java
- Proven proficiency developing in both server-side Java and Node.js applications using mainstream frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, React and AngularJS.
- Current cloud technology experience, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
- Experience integrating with async messaging, logging or queues, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, NATS.
- A strong proven proficiency in SQL and NoSQL based data access and management
- Recent hands-on Experience building supporting commercial systems managing PII, secure or sensitive data and transactions including server-side development developing APIs including REST/JSON APIs
- Demonstrable familiarity with CI/CD process, testing frameworks and practices (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CLI, etc.)
- Knowledgeable and experienced with software and system patterns and their application in prior works
- Extensive experience gathering and assessing specifications and requirements
- Comfortable in a dynamic environment, with ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects
Additional Preferred Experience
- Extensive experience building systems supporting financial services businesses
- Experience working with Automated Underwriting/Decisioning Systems
- Experience supporting data science efforts
- Familiarity creating and using Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience building API and consuming API’s in Node.js or Netty based systems requiring high concurrency
- Security and privacy compliance (GPDR, CCPA, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) experience a plus
- Knowledge and/or use of DDA, FDX, OFX, and/or FIX
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake is highly desirable
