Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school; admission to the bar of any state.
- 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably as member of in-house legal department or contracts department.
- High level of comfort in a large, complex business environment in support of a sales-focused organization, interacting directly with business and technical colleagues and executive leadership in order to provide succinct, results-oriented advice in connection with contract terms and business policies/practices.
- Excellent contract drafting skills and ability to lead a contract negotiation, understanding how to balance key risks and opportunities to reach a mutually acceptable agreement while maintaining a professional decorum and fostering strong internal and external relationships, including leading calls with clients during contract negotiations.
- Direct experience negotiating critical contract terms, such as Limitations of Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, Termination, Data Security, and Confidentiality.
- Experience aligning contract terms to meet revenue recognition requirements and accounting rules for various types of services, including software and custom development projects.
- Excellent and advanced Microsoft Word skills, prior experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency with Adobe products (PDFs and Adobe Sign).
- Demonstrated strong interest in, desire to use, and embrace of various technology platforms.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU
- Have direct experience creating contract records in Salesforce, Salesforce reporting, and appropriately document approvals and deviations within Salesforce.
- Have familiarity with state and federal privacy laws, including the FCRA, GDPR, CCPA, and HIPPA.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to manage template agreements and revisions, including updating existing legacy contracts to bring into compliance with company policies.
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and effectively support numerous sales associates with diverse needs, changing/competing priorities, and/or deadlines.
- Problem solver with a “take charge” mentality.
- Team player with a positive attitude – collaborative, contributes to team success, and willing to take on a challenge.

- During this pandemic, all Experian employees are working remotely. Once it’s safe to do so, we’ll slowly return to our offices however we are in no rush to do this. The safety of our employees is of utmost importance.
