Qualifications
- 2+ years of in-house payroll experience
- Knowledge of state and federal laws governing employment tax compliance
- Knowledge of state and federal account registration rules and regulations
- Knowledge of SUTA dumping laws and succession/merger & acquisition reporting requirements
- Understanding of third party payroll tax reports and tax remittance
- Experience registering and filing for payroll tax accounts across multiple states
- Experience in payroll tax filing issues and resolutions across multiple states
- Detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to manage high volume of work and strict deadlines
- Proficient in use of PC and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Skilled at working independently with the ability to apply creative and innovative solutions to problems
