  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Handle information given by clients to perform registration
    • Register clients for federal and state tax accounts and confirm registrations with state agencies        
    • Be proficient in understanding payroll reports like ADP statement of deposits and filings, W2 and W3 reports and other payroll registers
    • Research various payroll tax issues using online tax research services or directly with the agencies
    • Communicate on the clients’ behalf before the IRS and state agencies where necessary.
    • Reply to client or state agencies with all applicable information inside the deadlines issued by state agencies or client procedures
    • Carry out any supplementary tasks needed to meet company objectives Input and maintain all client and agency documents into the tax platform
    • Excellent customer service to our clients and state agencies
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of in-house payroll experience
    • Knowledge of state and federal laws governing employment tax compliance
    • Knowledge of state and federal account registration rules and regulations
    • Knowledge of SUTA dumping laws and succession/merger & acquisition reporting requirements
    • Understanding of third party payroll tax reports and tax remittance
    • Experience registering and filing for payroll tax accounts across multiple states
    • Experience in payroll tax filing issues and resolutions across multiple states
    • Detail oriented
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work well within a team
    • Ability to manage high volume of work and strict deadlines
    • Proficient in use of PC and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
    • Skilled at working independently with the ability to apply creative and innovative solutions to problems
