    Job Description

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    The Data Science Analyst’s primary responsibility is to partner with Lenders and the business to translate data into clear business value. You will be responsible for running analytical and modeling projects and innovating alongside partners to improve their modeling and targeting capabilities on the Marketplace platform.

    • Execute analytical and modeling projects consisting of project design and problem decomposition, data cleaning and analysis, presentation, and documentation.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine the appropriate analysis parameters and performance measures to be applied.
    • Communicate with and deliver presentations to internal users on analysis results
    • Build clear reports to monitor the impact of business recommendations and product enhancements
    • Produce implementation plans and participate in audits to support the implementation of statistical models and other decision tools
    • Support the business and lender-partners by providing analytical expertise
    • Support the development of new analytical and data products and services, and the enhancement of current processes and offerings
  • Qualifications

    WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND LOOKS LIKE

    • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical field, Advance degree (MS) preferred
    • 5+ years’ experience manipulating large datasets for analysis and modeling including the ability to understand data integrity, accuracy, and general relationships
    • Experience with analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SAS. Working knowledge of SQL/HQL and Java.
    • Expert analytical skills to evaluate understand and interpret data from both an internal and client perspective.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to both a technical and non-technical audience.
    • Experience with distributed computing and/or distributed databases a plus.
    • Financial services industry experience preferred.
