    Job Description

    This position in the high growth, evolving environment of Commercial Analytic Product Ownership/Management and you will be responsible for the following key activities:

    You are the voice of the client. You will uncover market opportunities/jobs to be done while driving the product vision for new and existing commercial analytic solutions. You will bring a strong desire to innovate - from prototypes to MVP to launch, and own our commercial Ascend Suite.

    PRODUCT MANAGER JOB DUTIES:

    • The Product Manager will be the voice of the client internally to ensure opportunities are uncovered and prioritized and own the development and delivery of a short-term and long-term product roadmap to execute on your product vision
    • Develop and execute new analytic product initiatives and projects, primarily focused on the product lifecycle for Experian’s commercial analytic solutions and access points.
    • Capitalize on new analytical approaches and services, that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our industry leading data science and data engineering teams.
    • Serve as an Experian commercial analytics resource in the areas of competitive intelligence, market knowledge and go-to-market strategies.
    • Support ongoing relationships and strategic alignment with product stakeholders for key customer accounts
    • Present, or support presentation of, key concepts of Experian analytical products to industry groups, Advisories, Summits, Roundtables, etc. as needed.
    • Collaborate daily within a scrum team and other cross-functional team members.
    • Actively provide strong data science expertise to product management, analytical consulting, data operations, and product development teams to help drive revenue growth in the North American market.
    • Work cross-functionally with various Experian business units and product management teams to ensure products are positioned in alignment with other Experian capabilities and platforms
    • Work closely with legal and compliance to establish the necessary product documentation and governance before delivering product enhancements to the market.
    • Ability/willingness to travel ~10-20%.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Gather market feedback around product positioning, pricing and revenue, competitor products, and translate into the launch of compelling product offerings that meet market needs
    • Be a self-starter when it comes to analytic techniques and determining product priorities, including new features & initiatives that drive your product line forward
    • Evangelize your product internally and externally through new sales opportunities, high impact presentations, demos and development of relevant collateral (e.g. online demos, promotions, white papers, case studies, etc.)

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant product management and Financial Service Industry experience is a plus.
    • General knowledge of analytics, including an understanding of the financial industry and consumer/commercial credit data. Topics include but are not limited to education/ technical training on scoring model development and usage as well as business intelligence knowledge around all cycles of consumer credit: prospecting; acquisition; portfolio management; and collections.
    • Previous hands-on experience working with data-driven solutions required.
    • Previous modeling product management experience required – general knowledge of: machine learning methodologies, analytic analysis, model validation, platform deployment, performance monitoring/ tracking/ reporting
    • Proven track record in utilizing analytical tools & metrics for both managing product portfolios and creating product road maps

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Familiar, based on previous hands-on experience, with major technological elements of our industry such as analytic techniques, workflows, processing platforms, data warehouses and software development techniques.
    • Highly driven, dynamic self-starter - bring a high level of passion to achieving greater client satisfaction in everything you do.
    • Strong technically with a passion for design and usability
    • Team player, detail oriented
    • Fundamental understanding of core Agile principles including writing user stories, managing a backlog while articulating your product vision to the scrum team
    • Outstanding presentation, communication and information sharing skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent PC skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends and help the development team to implement new processes

    FORMAL TRAINING/EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • MBA preferred but not required
    • Position is virtual with quarterly visits to our campus in Costa Mesa, CA
