These fresh healthy products can be found in airports, convenience stores, major grocery stores, club format stores and other retail locations across 45 states. Job Summary: Territory Sales Representatives make deliveries of cold goods (finished products) using a Company owned vehicle on a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) route. This is a Full Time Position. Qualified individuals must be hardworking, dependable, and enthusiastic and have a desire to be successful. Candidates are REQUIRED to have a current driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to pass all DOT requirements and drug screening. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma Required. Two years prior delivery experience preferred, including ability to follow a mapped route and a good sense of direction. Previous route sales experience is preferred but not required. Requires a valid state driver license. Requires (3) three years clean driving record (to allow Company to secure vehicle insurance). Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug test as required by applicable regulatory requirements. This position does NOT require a Commercial Drivers License (CDL); however, candidates with a Class B or Class A license are encouraged to apply. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Must exhibit excellent customer service, have good communication skills, an upbeat attitude and ability to interact with employees, supervisors, and others at any level within an organization. Must be available when needed, including weekends and some holidays. Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision. Knowledge of HACCP and food safety desirable. Ability to influence retail management and/or club store management to try new products and provide more shelf space for Company products and services, including the ability to anticipate problems and act proactively. Ability to learn and apply departmental or Company policies, procedures and rules. Ability to learn and apply Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations pertaining to human resources. Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities: Increase sales and minimize returns by establishing and managing in-store sales at all locations within the assigned territory. Deliver products to the locations based on recommended sales order sheet and make independent assessment on the right product based on customer request and sales pattern. Modify the order quantity using the scanner and on the invoice (if applicable). Notify your Logistics Supervisor of such change(s). Authorize and issue credit memo for returned merchandise. Sell and promote new products to the locations and Deli/Meat Managers within the assigned territory. Establish good relationships with store managers to place products in the most attractive area and provide rotation to increase sales opportunity and reduce spoils. Provide daily sales reports to management that define sales, returned products, and damaged product of all customers. Exercise sound independent decision making on the frequency of sales calls to the stores in the assigned territory. Exercise sound independent decision making on the placement of which products are sold into the stores in the assigned territory. Resolve customer complaints at store level to minimize dispute. Return scanner, invoice, credit memo, and other related sales documents to the logistics office when route is completed. Ensure proper replenishment of product to route locations Comply with all company rules and regulations and traffic laws and safety rules. Prepare necessary daily reports as required by Logistics Department and Corporate policy. Drivers are expected to perform in a safe and responsible manner to ensure personal safety for themselves and those around them and to ensure the safety and security of the equipment and merchandise under their control. Each driver must properly document all activities as required by law and company policies and procedures and must remain in compliance with those laws, policies and procedures.
