  • Responsibilities

    The Corporate Accountant Department of Globe Life Inc. is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Senior Accountant. This position will be responsible for the preparation of internal and external financial reports, financial analysis, technical accounting research/writing, and researching exceptions, statutory accounting, and assistance in preparing Securities and Exchange Commission filings. 

    • Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements at the subsidiary level
    • Provide assistance with SEC reporting and disclosure requirements
    • Ability to research FASB and SEC guidance and document accounting position
    • Staying apprised of current GAAP, SEC, and statutory accounting guidance and upcoming proposed guidance
    • Assist in the documentation and process flows of accounting policies
    • Work with external auditor requests
    • Special projects with Corporate Accounting team

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Power Pivot

    Required Experience

    • 2-3 years of experience in public accounting required
    • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Accounting and CPA required
    • Accounting technical research and writing ability
    • Workiva or other similar SEC reporting tool experience a plus
    • Previous insurance accounting experience a plus
