  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY

    The position will be a member of the Globe Life Actuarial Health Rate Filing team and participate directly in the process of assembling, submitting and processing correspondence relating to premium rate filings and assisting in the development of responses to state insurance department objections and inquiries.  The ideal candidate will maintain a positive and supportive attitude, develop strong working relationships both inside and outside of the Actuarial Department, and be committed to providing detailed, accurate work.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Assemble, submit and process correspondence relating to premium rate filings.
    • Assist in the development of responses to state insurance department objection and queries.
    • Maintain excel spreadsheets and Actuarial databases that document rate filings, approvals, responses and rate implementations.
    • Cross-train on submitting state reports, surveys and approving assessment charges.
    • Additional duties will be assigned as required by this fast paced, ever-changing position

    • Ability to research and apply laws and regulations of various states to rate filings and responses
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business documents
    • Ability to write business correspondence with technical content

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
