    The Visual Storyteller/Coordinator is responsible for the creative visual content of chapel settings, manages chapel production logistics, and is committed to the spiritual development of students.

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Two to four years of creative video production experience required. 2+ years of storytelling experience in directing, filming, and editing video productions.
    • Creative and organizational planning experience for special events and/or productions for large groups, ideally in worship settings such as local churches or Christian universities.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Create visual content including static and motion graphics and corporate worship-related video productions.
    • Processes media provided by chapel speakers; including decks, videos, and other multimedia files; and delivers content to the Media Services team.
    • Primary person for creating and curating visual aesthetics in morning corporate worship settings.
    • Collaboration with Spiritual Life team for their visual content to be used in chapel settings.
    • Assists in the managing of program workflow and the successful production and execution of corporate worship gatherings.
    • Collaborates with Media Services staff to enhance overall effectiveness and quality of media and technology in corporate worship gatherings.
    • Give creative input on corporate worship calendar, themes, programming and technical needs as directed.
    • Point person for the Corporate Worship team’s communications strategy, including management of social media, publishing of weekly email bulletin, and the effective use of technology to spread awareness and increase engagement in corporate worship events.
    • Provides assistance in guiding and managing interns and student leaders, as needed.
    • Manages Office of Corporate Worship website revisions and the posting of the chapel calendar online.
    • Supervises and provides direction to the undergraduate chapel interns, whose main responsibility is liaising with chapel speakers and processing the necessary paperwork to coordinate speakers’ visits to campus.
    • Processes speaker contracts, invoices, and other payment-related paperwork.
    • Serve in a collateral assignment within Student Affairs, assisting in visual storytelling projects as directed by the Student Affairs administrative team.
    • Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.

     

     SKILLS

    • Strong organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, vision, creativity, sensitivity, good communication skills, solid biblical understanding, basic knowledge of Microsoft and Macintosh applications, multi-tasking.
    • Proficiency in relevant software, such as Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop,
    • Project management

    • Ability to work under pressure, exuding a professional demeanor while multi-tasking in a deadline oriented environment with accuracy and consistency.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    COMPENSATION

    • Grade 7: $19.49-$25.33/hourly
    • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
