Globe Life is looking for an Intern in the Event Marketing and Travel Department. They will assist with all facets of the event planning process for multiple small to mid-sized meetings or events and will attend an event in person as on site support. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have the ability to work ambiguously, be able to take direction, and have an outgoing personality.

- Complete projects as assigned
- Establish a work flow schedule with partners to execute program details
- Utilize Cvent software to manage program
- Monitor attrition dates, cancellation policies and ensure contracted services are executed
- Coordinate and possibly attend site inspections as needed
- Coordinate specific program details and produce a program itinerary / working agenda that outlines all program specifics and requirements
- Maintain accurate records, system input, and complete file management in all meeting folders
- Evaluate program impact and reassess objectives and outcomes; plan for continuous improvement
- Partner with designated team to communicate registration and air needs, status meetings and continuous communication throughout program
- Maintain proactive, positive, open line of communication with client to ensure understanding of expectations and client satisfaction
- Partner with third party suppliers to arrange their services
- Develop strong relationships with multiple contacts within company and supplier organizations

Required Experience
- Must have obtained at least a Junior status in a Bachelor’s degree program (Research, Marketing, advertising, journalism, communication or related fields)
- We seek candidates who have excellent analytical skills, a focus on results, the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Qualified candidates must also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly assess problems and find workable solutions.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (Official Transcript May be Requested)
- Ability to work 40 hours per week June 3 rd, 2024 – July 26th, 2024.
- U.S citizen or legal resident.
- Hospitality Tract preferred
- Prior event experience a plus
