    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Distribution Manager will support the operation by ensuring that materials are received and shipped in a timely manner and will oversee inventory accuracy across multiple sites by managing daily cycle counts, inventory transactions and reconciliations. This position will also work to improve and or establish the end to end inventory management processes including transactional accountability, inventory counts, and discrepancy investigations, eliminate redundancies, improve material flow (inbound/outbound), productivity, quality, and safety across all shifts in compliance with quality/regulatory standards.

    The Manager will drive best practices and a high performing culture that is aligned with our Millennium Health mission and the growth of the Company.

    • Responsible for and coordinating the efficient movement of materials, monitoring and improving warehousing, inventory and logistics operations.
    • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
    • Manages contractual relationships with Freight Carriers, 3 PLs and other suppliers routing and processing shipments, including hazardous substances
    • Responsible for day-to-day operations of distribution and inventory management, which includes inbound receipts and outbound shipments.
    • Ensure daily targets are met including receiving turnaround time, on-time delivery, accuracy and productivity.
    • Drive best practices in terms of receiving, shipping, and inventory management; standardize these practices through the documentation of work instructions.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams of stakeholders and business partners to create efficiencies in the overall operation; continuously strive for a better way of conducting day to day operations, reduce costs, and/or increase productivity while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance is met.

    Required Skills

    • Knowledge and awareness of all aspects of the specific functional area.
    • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and knowledge of company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
    • Develops a proficiency of the company’s business / market in order to inform decisions.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field highly preferred.

    SKILLS / ABILITIES / KNOWLEDGE:

    • ERP system experience is required, NetSuite preferred
    • Experience in developing detailed process work instructions
    • Experience in cGMP/cGLP environments, and working knowledge of regulations and auditing bodies, e.g. CLIA, FDA, HIPPA, OSHA, Hazardous Materials, C-TPAT, and DOT/IATA
    • Experience with various supply chain software/systems including UPS, FedEx ship Manager, WMS, TMS, and/or dock freight scheduling systems
    • Effective communication in English with high reading and writing proficiency
    • APICS or related certification

    OTHER SKILLS / ABILITIES / KNOWLEDGE:

    • This position will require the following physical requirements; sitting 20 %, walking 40%, standing 40%, lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • This position will require the following mental requirements; written and oral communication (50%), problem solving (10%), read, interpret data, information and documents (10%), ability to use computers (15%), basic math skills (15%)

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 8-12 years of industry experience (laboratory, med. device, diagnostics, biotech)
    • Minimum 2-5 years plus of previous management or lead experience.
    • Must have good working knowledge of computerized inventory control systems, inventory control methods and procedures, including cycle counting and physical inventories

    Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
