    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Building Automation Dispatcher plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for efficiently dispatching BAS technicians to customer sites and ensuring seamless workflow coordination.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking service via phone and email, maintaining the Haynes brand image during interactions.
    • Engage empathetically with customers experiencing BAS service issues, assuring them of our capability to address their needs.
    • Schedule technicians efficiently based on job requirements, technical expertise, proximity, and guidance from the BAS Service Supervisor.
    • Create accurate work orders in dispatch software, assign them appropriately, and publish daily schedules by 4 pm the previous workday.
    • Ensure daily communication with technicians for updates, schedule adjustments, and communication with the BAS Service Supervisor and customers.
    • Monitor technician progress onsite, address additional requirements, and keep the BAS Service Supervisor informed.
    • Confirm completion of work orders, including job notes and tasking, and follow up with technicians for corrections if needed.
    • Manage workflow for billable service calls and actively participate in internal meetings to enhance customer experience.
    • Review PM backlog weekly, ensuring accurate entries, up-to-date notes, and proper resolution coding.
    • Update dispatch notes to reflect any issues, client requests, or unique contract aspects.
    • Inform Contract Admin/BAS Service Supervisor and BAS Project Managers of work progress and any operational issues affecting operations.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ years of Customer Service experience with strong communication skills.
    • Previous dispatching experience in the service industry preferred.
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and company software platforms.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to minimal noise levels.

     

    Pay Scale: $23/hr to $28/hr

    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, specialty, and training.
