    Safety Associate ( Intern) - Little Chute, WI 18-02-184 Assist Safety Coordinator with company programs related to environmental health and safety, company fleet vehicles, and building access and security for both divisions of the company, Heartland Label Printers (HRTLP) and Heartland Business Systems (HBS). - Essential Functions Assist with management of company fleet, for example assisting with accident reporting procedures, tracking vehicle preventative maintenance (PMs), and optimizing vehicle leases Monitor Motor Vehicle Records, Fuel Cards, Insurance, Registration and Recalls of the fleet Assist with incident reports and update in appropriate shared drive locations (including injuries/near misses/property damage/OSHA recordables) Assist Safety Manager in developing monthly safety training topics for HRTLP and quarterly for HBS Assist in facilitating monthly Safety Impact Committee meetings as well as Medical and Emergency Response Team meetings Assist Safety Manager with weekly and/or monthly facility safety audits/walk-throughs Assist with posting and report generation of Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program Assist with updating safety footwear program employee reimbursement program/file Assist in obtaining/generating information for workers comp claims Assist Human Resources Team with projects and administrative tasks as needed - Position Qualifications Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly according to requirements. Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety - Skills & Abilities Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications required: Enrolled in a university pursuing a degree in occupational safety, business administration; or related field Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Valid Drivers License Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications required: OSHA Certifications Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite 3.5 or Higher GPA
