    Job Description

    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: 

     The selected candidate will be able to perform diversified duties involved in directing the activities of all or a designated group of Branch Service Techs. This candidate must be proficient in all aspects of our service operation and able to multi task assisting in coordinating setting up service calls, following up on service concerns and helping set up site surveys and installation jobs. This candidate will function as a Service Tech performing service calls when not directing the activities of assigned Service Techs.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Assists in Tech interviews, training and development.

    • Leads, plans and coordinates Tech On-Boarding and Tech development according to company plans, processes and identified best practices.

    • Providing Technical expertise and going out on service calls with Service Techs when a complaint or problem arises that could adversely affect customer relations; diagnose the problem area and assist the Service Tech in correcting the malfunction; or, assign another Service Tech to assist in correcting the malfunction.

    • Responsible for reviewing inventory usage reporting and working to get proper parts on trucks and main warehouses.

    • Prepare and review quotes on various types of service work and installations, including competitive equipment.

    • Responsible for keeping assigned service personnel informed of new products, model changes, modifications, new service procedures, etc.

    • Maintain appropriate records; e.g. productivity, service revenue, service tickets.

    • Lead in the training and development of Service Techs; administer appropriate training and recommend Troy service schools to Branch Manager.

    • Responsible for scheduling warranty and maintenance inspections on a timely basis.

    • Achieve departmental goals regarding parts and labor, FCC & CB’s.

    • Assist in identifying and obtaining competitive parts to support customer satisfaction

    • Assist and perform quarterly truck inventories and inspections.

    • Assisting in resolving and proactively preventing customer issues

    • Leads by example and models proper Safe work practices and habits as well as system and process compliance

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma, Business or trade school or GED, with good mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude.

    • 6+ years experience in Food Service and equipment repair or related field

    • Strong customer relations skills

    • Must be able to use decision-making, organizational and problem solving skills as a routine part of daily activities.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

    • Ability to meet goals and attain desired business results in a team-oriented environment is vital.

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Good Organizational skills

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Refrigeration Repair/trouble shooting experience
    • Technical leadership experience
