    AR Analyst Accounting San Jose, California Description The AR Analyst will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, ensuring invoicing/credits are processed appropriately, managing collections and performing month-end close reconciliations and journal entries for AR related accounts. Responsibilities: * Monitor and maintain assigned accounts to ensure payments are made on delinquent customer accounts. * Partner with Sales, Billing and Revenue Accounting as needed to resolve customer issues related to non-payment * Update customer account status timely to ensure accurate cash forecasting and other reporting and analysis. * Research unapplied payments/credit memos to allocate correctly and identify need for refund; keeping unapplied payments to a minimum * Respond to customer emails and phone calls on a timely basis, with professional and effective communications * Process service suspension and service reinstate according to company policy * Determine bad-debt accounts and refer to 3rd party collection agency * Partner with 3rd party collection agency to maximize collections efficiency * Provide resolution to any short pays - investigate and determine root case * Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation related to AR * Assist with external audit requests as needed * Ad hoc reporting as needed * Evaluate processes and develop improvement plans working closely with all departments * Other responsibilities as assigned based on business need * Investigate disputes and determine need for debook * Submit Debooks & AR Credit requests Requirements: * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desired * 3-5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable * Solid understanding of general accounting concepts related to AR * Demonstrate organization & prioritization of multiple tasks * Must have effective verbal and written communication * Must have analytical skills related to AR and collections * Demonstrate superior customer service * Demonstrate attention to detail * Must have problem solving skills Other: * Full-Time, 40 hours per week * Temporary, 4-6 months
