    Role Overview:

    Could you be our next Life Insurance Underwriter? Globe Life is actively networking with experienced Underwriters who are open to new opportunities!

    In this role, you will be responsible for assessing risks, utilizing resources given to ensure the Company stays within compliance, and maintaining an excellent relationship with Life Insurance Agents via email.

    This is a remote / work from home position.

    What You Will Do:

    • Life, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance the efficiency and productivity of current and future policies.
    • Thoroughly evaluate and analyze risks by leveraging pertinent resources related to applicants' health history, ensuring comprehensive assessment for policy decisions.
    • Review medical and prescription information to make well-informed underwriting determinations.
    • Engage in proactive communication by emailing agents to secure compliance documents for submissions, while also requesting any additional information necessary for policy decision-making, all while adhering to compliance standards.
    • Stay abreast of legal, state, and company standards as they relate to Health/Life Insurance, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making.
    • Uphold strict confidentiality protocols to safeguard sensitive information.

    What You Can Bring:

    • Must have 1-2 years of life insurance underwiring experience.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; preference given to candidates with some college coursework.
    • Strongly recommend having LOMA 280 & 290 within 1 year, with pursuit of FMLI recommended.
    • 1-2 years of experience as an Underwriter trainee or Jr. Underwriter; a blend of experience and education will be considered.
    • Pursuit of LOMA Underwriting (UND) is mandatory.
    • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
    • Solid grasp of basic math, with an acute attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills.
    • Quick learner with a keen eye for detail, capable of demonstrating high productivity even with minimal supervision.

     EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

     

    • Must be a US citizen and possess or be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

    • Possess a degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or industrial control engineering or equivalent experience with demonstrated knowledge in propane, diesel, solar, and fuel cell power generation technologies as well as at least 1-year experience in maintenance of autonomous power generation at remote locations  

    • Possess training and at least 1 year of experience as a certified Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) Technician – Journeyman, a certified Solar Energy International Battery-Based Photovoltaic system technician, and a certified Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technician or equivalent

    • Two (2) years of experience working with Power Generation systems Systems.

    • Two (2) years of experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems and power generation systems.

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

     

    • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills in order to interface with  personnel and other government agencies at all levels;
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
    • Ability to work independently;
