    JOB SUMMARY

    The Lead QA Automation Engineer designs, develops, and optimizes scalable automation frameworks that deliver reliable validation across all supported applications and uphold high product quality standards. This role engineers automated test suites and integrates them into CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality and reduce deployment risk. It also requires building strong product and business process knowledge, close collaboration with Development and Business teams, mentorship of QA Analysts, and communicating testing outcomes and quality metrics to technical and business stakeholders.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing for assigned projects to ensure high quality, accuracy, and performance.
    • Establish and maintain scalable automation architecture for projects (framework design, folder structure, CI Integration)
    • Define, create, and maintain automated testing suites for existing functionality and new projects.
    • Design and execute performance testing plans (e.g. load, stress, endurance)
    • Coordinate and implement effective test data strategies, ensuring reliable, reusable, and secure test data across all testing environments.
    • Build in‑depth knowledge of Radwell International’s processes—including sales order processing, web marketing, customer service, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, shipping, and related accounting—to design produce comprehensive test plans with meaningful use cases and accurate test data.
    • Communicate effectively with Development and Business teams, documenting and reporting issues identified during testing.
    • Track project progress by monitoring quality indicators, test coverage, and defect metrics to ensure visibility into overall product health.
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and improve release quality.
    • Assist in training and mentoring QA Analysts on automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
    • Provide regular testing status updates to management and proactively communicate risks and outstanding issues.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups) and collaborate throughout the SDLC.
    • Maintain a professional, collaborative relationship with team members, stakeholders, and end users.
    • Complete additional tasks assigned by management to support department and company objectives.

    METRICS

    The Lead QA Automation Engineer will be evaluated on the effectiveness, reliability, and strategic impact of their automation solutions, as well as their contribution to overall quality and delivery efficiency. Key performance metrics include:

    • Automation Coverage & Adoption: Expansion of automated test suites across critical applications and processes, measured by percentage of regression coverage, reduction in manual testing effort, and adoption of automation across teams.
    • Framework Stability & Maintainability: Quality and resilience of automation frameworks, evaluated by low flakiness rates, clear structure, reusable components, and ease of maintenance for QA Analysts.
    • Defect Detection & Leakage Reduction: Effectiveness in identifying defects early in the SDLC and reducing defect leakage into production through strong automation, test planning, and risk-based strategies.
    • CI/CD Integration & Execution Reliability: Successful integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, with consistent, stable pipeline execution and meaningful test feedback supporting continuous delivery.
    • Mentorship & Team Enablement: Contributions to developing QA Analysts’ automation skills through training, code review, and guidance.
    • Quality of Documentation & Reporting: Completeness and clarity of automation documentation, test plans, defect reports, and dashboards used to monitor coverage, execution results, and quality indicators.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Hands-on experience with automation and performance tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, or LoadRunner.
    • Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java.
    • Proficient with SQL for query creation and analysis; experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and collaborative team activities.
    • Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
    • Preferred: experience with Epicor Prophet 21, Salesforce, or Databricks; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    **KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED **

    • Strong foundation in QA methodologies (functional, regression, integration, UAT) and test case/script development.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated test integration, and Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
    • Proficiency with GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and automated test script management.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills for collaboration with developers, admins, and business stakeholders.
    • Ability to quickly acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of critical business systems and processes.

    **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **

    • Four-year college degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years focused on test automation.

    **PHYSICAL DEMANDS **

    WORK SCHEDULE __

    This is an exempt position which requires a work schedule that will achieve the results and objectives identified by the company and ecommerce management. Generally, the company operates and most of those who will interface with this position work normal business hours which are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Nights and weekends may be required at times based on current project and implementation needs, deadlines, and workload.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT __

    It may be necessary from time to time to travel to other offices, plants and inventory warehouse environments relative to the requirements of the position.

    Dress attire is casual but professional in an office setting. All employees are required to wear Security access card and encouraged to wear apparel with company logo. All employees must always adhere to Safety Policies.

    SALARY INFORMATION

    The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $120,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **** Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on company performance.

These benefits, along with additional voluntary benefits, are available to all regular full-time employees beginning on first day of employment.
